Iran Could Restart Nuclear Deal in 4 Days

Iran Could Restart Nuclear Deal in 4 Days

"(But) the foundations of the JCPOA (nuclear deal) have been so strong that during these 15 months of pressure. the structure has remained solid".

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has warned that Washington "will regret it" if the United States violates a 2015 deal between Tehran and global powers to curb Iran's nuclear program.

In January, Trump announced he is waiving the U.S. sanctions against Iran for the "last time".

"Today, I am waiving the application of certain nuclear sanctions, but only in order to secure our European allies' agreement to fix the bad flaws of the Iran nuclear deal. Our response will be stronger than what they imagine and they would see that within a week".

Salehi added that "Iran can even show more extensive progress in other parts of its nuclear activities to go beyond the previous levels".

France, Britain and Germany are seeking to persuade their European Union partners to back new sanctions on Iran, as a way to persuade Trump to stick with the nuclear deal curbed on Iran's nuclear activities in return for sanctions relief.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is based in the United Kingdom, said that 14 people, mostly from Iran's military or its proxy forces, were killed in the airstrikes.

Rouhani's speech came in light of National Nuclear Technology Day in Tehran, where the country unveiled its latest nuclear achievements - including a nuclear battery and centrifuges for the oil industry. Iran insists its efforts have been for research and technology, and that its missiles are purely defensive.

Their "threats confirm that the Iranian regime never gave up on its atomic weapon ambitions", he said.

Tehran and Moscow are completely unanimous in many regional fields, he said, adding, "It is understandable for us that some Western countries are annoyed with Russian Federation and are trying to make problems for this great power in the region and the world".

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons "made a preliminary analysis of the reports of the alleged use of chemical weapons immediately after they were issued", said director general Ahmet Uzumcu.

The US dollar jumped in a day from 54,700 rials to 58,000 rials in the open market in Tehran, local media reported. Exchanges are displaying 55,000 rials to the dollar on their screens but actually they are reluctant to buy and sell.
