MSNBC's Joe Scarborough Now Suggesting Trump Is in 'Early Stages of Dementia'

Trump uses Matt Lauer's firing to promote conspiracy involving dead Joe Scarborough aide

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough claimed on Thursday that allies of President Trump questioned Trump's mental state during the 2016 presidential campaign.

During his political commentary show Morning Joe, Mr Scarborough said Mr Trump is "completely detached from reality".

This is just the latest in a long feud between Trump and the "Morning Joe" duo. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said "the president has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful".

Scarborough, who often criticizes the president, went on to say that "everybody around Donald Trump knows he's not stable".

"And, you have someone in the White House that the New York Daily News says is mentally unfit", Scarborough continued.

In a couple of tweets celebrating NBC News" sacking of Matt Lauer, Trump wondered if MSNBC-parent NBC also would terminate "low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the "unsolved mystery' that took place in Florida years ago?" adding, "Investigate!"

Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough. You know you don't serve Donald J. Trump, scam developer, scam, you know, Trump University proprietor.

Scarborough and Trump have rowed on numerous occasions, as recently as this week, when Trump called for an investigation into the death of a member of staff found inside the office of a GOP congressman back in 2001.

After news broke of NBC's firing of Matt Lauer due to sexual harassment allegations, Trump vaguely accused NBC chairman Andy Lack of wrongdoing.

"But right now, at this particular moment. we are headed towards a nuclear showdown", Scarborough said.

Scarborough invoked the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution, which details the line of succession in the case of a vacancy in the office of the president or vice president. The medical examiner said at the time that there was no foul play, and that she lost consciousness because she had an abnormal heart rhythm and then hit her head on a desk. "You don't represent him, you represent 320 million people, whose lives are literally in your hands, and we are facing a showdown with a nuclear superpower". But his fiancée, Mika Brzezinski did, calling the leader of the free world "unmoored".
